Exuberant and cheerful, Sonu's indefatigable enthusiasm and passion for music is something she conveys effortlessly through her playback singing. In a day and age when packaging matters more than the actual contents, Sonu Kakkar is a rare find. This talented singer's voice packs a punch even while her demure looks win you over with their innocence. Sonu's singing style is full-throated and unabashedly powerful. She wowed the world with her raunchy number "Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo" in E Niwas's film Dum.
The distinctively unpretentious, deep, rich, and a mesmirising voice who earned her recognition as one of the India’s premiere singers who is one of the very first indian artists to receive an MTV Immies Award for her chartbusting song “Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo”. She is none other than “Sonu Kakkar”.
Some of Sonu's memorable tracks are – the emotional and heart wrenching track 'Call of the lover – 'Sun Charkhe Di' from the non-film album Mitti from sony bmg which created, waves everywhere., the Indi-pop chartbuster 'Mallika I Hate You'etc.
She opened her eyes in a small town of Rishikesh, Uttaranchal on October 20th. Giving her a full support her parents who agreed shifting to Delhi where she used to sing Mata’s Bhajans and finally to Mumbai a place where her dreams lie.
Sonu Kakkar is a versatile singer who has come up a long way in a very short span of time. After listening her full-throated voice sandeep chowta promised to give her an opportunity to sing in his next film.
She made her debut with the film Dum starred Vivek Oberoi and Diya Mirza with the Most Popular Song Of The Year 2003 Babuji Jara Dheere Chalo picturised on Yana Gupta. This ultimate Raunching Dance Number really makes E.Niwas’s Dum eminently worthwhile.
As she is brilliant with sufi also, she has sung some mesmerising songs like YAADAN TERI YAAD in the album called Euphoric Sufis from times music with living legends like Abida Parveen, Shubha mudgal etc. DHOLNA MAHI,and a song in Channa vey etc.
She has worked with A.R Rahman, in the film called Godfather.
Her Latest film is Mukhbiir, the song is Jeena and Sonu's latest album on Sony BMG - is called "DON'T TOUCH ME".
Sonu sang a classical number in Kaizad Gustad’s film Boom the song Seduction Saanwaria so beautifully sung by her critically appreciated a lot, and many films like RISK the song has been a chartbuster called Hichki , Delhi Heights, Corporate, Kis kis ki kismet, Sandwich, Naach, Sheesha, Revati etc.
She has recently sung for Kurkure’s Latest commercial which has been picturised on Kareena Kapoor and directed by Imtiaz Ali .

Born on the 6th of June, Neha started her singing at the age of 4. She devoted her child hood to Maata rani as she was the youngest renowned singer in delhi known for her energetic and charismatic singing of Maata ki bhente. While she was busy doing Jagraats, no one knew that this child is a future pop star as the genres of singing were totally different. From jagraatas to releasing a solo English song in her debut album, Neha, the rockstar , she’s come a long way. A true rockstar in the making, Neha has one of the most unique combinations of singing and dancing. Her performances are mesmerizing as her moves on her own beats are a treat for her fans. Obviously this wasn’t enough for this talented, gorgeous, power house of a performer. Neha the rockstar, the title track is called Tere Baap Ka and the song says exactly what she feels. It’s a beautiful track with a very hip-hop beat to it supported by an extremely catchy and a hummable melody created by her bro, Tony K who has helped her little rockstar of a sister to sing what she feels.
How much of a courage does it take for a 19 Yr old girl to not only make a song against dowry but dance on it too specially in a country like ours, is a question we all need to think about. And when we do, we’ll get our answer which is, Here comes , NEHA THE ROCKSTAR !!!!
